Injury issues have plagued the Atlanta Hawks in the early going of the 2020-21 season, with the majority of the team’s free agent acquisitions missing time within the first ten games. On Thursday, the team issued an update on a pair of high-profile perimeter players currently hampered by ailments in Cheap Bogdan Bogdanovic Jersey and Cheap Kris Dunn Jersey.

On Sunday, Jan. 10, the Hawks announced that Bogdanovic was diagnosed with an avulsion fracture in his right knee with associated soft tissue inflammation and a bone bruise. At the time, however, there was not a definitive timetable for his return, with the indication that further review was required.

As of Thursday, Atlanta indicates further analysis on Bogdanovic “has confirmed no associated injury to knee ligaments, and he “has begun early stage rehabilitation.” There is still no firm timetable for his recovery at this time.

In nine games prior to the injury, Bogdanovic averaged 9.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, shooting 38.5 percent from the floor and 36.2 percent from three-point range. Atlanta inked the former Sacramento Kings wing to a four-year, $72 million contract, including a fourth-year player option, in the offseason.

Dunn underwent arthroscopic surgery in late December to remove loose cartilage in his right ankle, and he was placed in a walking boot. The announcement of a successful surgery came with a two-week timetable for re-evaluation, which arrived on Thursday, and the Hawks announced that Dunn had his walking boot removed on Thursday, and he has progressed into weight-bearing rehabilitation and modified form shooting. He will be reviewed in two additional weeks.

The 26-year-old guard has not appeared for the Hawks this season, last taking the court as a member of the Chicago Bulls on Jan. 29, 2020. He was signed to a two-year contract — including a 2021-22 player option — before this season.

Stay tuned.

The Atlanta Hawks wisely chose not to try and enter the James Harden sweepstakes. They sat back and weighed up the pros and cons of Harden and will look at the best possible trade partner to improve their own stocks.

There have been rumors that John Collins is not happy with certain aspects of the team but the Hawks have kept a professional working environment. This has meant that the team will not be rushed into making a bad move when trying to maximize their return for Collins when they trade him.

Collins has developed into a franchise player in his own right but the Hawks have hitched their wagon to third-year point guard Cheap Trae Young Jersey as their franchise cornerstone and are going to build around him.

The Atlanta Hawks should make a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers

JAVALE MCGEE, C
